MORRISTOWN — The Cake Boss is coming to yet another town.

Barely more than two moths after Buddy Valastro’s famous Carlo’s Bakery opened up  shop in Westfield, it announced Monday it’s coming to Morristown as well.

Carlo’s Bakery Morristown will open up at 40 Market Street, on the ground floor of the Metropolitan at 40 Park complex, in the next few months. That adds to a stable of shops that already includes the flagship bakery in Hoboken and satellite locations in Ridgewood and Westfield. A Carlo’s is under construction in Red Bank as well.

Valastro — known nationally as the “Cake Boss” because of the Hoboken bakery-based TLC show that bears his nickname — called Morristown a “family town” in a news release from his chain.

The Morristown bakery will be more than 3,700 square feet and will open before the end of the year, the announcement said.

The Metropolitan at 40 Park is perhaps the most high-profile development in Morristown in recent years. The seven-story building sits along the Morristown Green and includes luxury apartments above a ground floor of restaurants and retail stores.

“Carlo’s Bakery and Morristown are similar in nature in that the bakery is a regional brand with national recognition that remains committed to its ‘mom and pop’ character and personal service, and Morristown offers a vibrant setting where culture, dining, shopping and nightlife coexist with a small-town, local feel,” said Debra Tantleff, a vice-president of development for Roseland, a subsidiary of Mack-Cali that developed the 40 Park complex along with Woodmont Properties. “It’s a perfect fit.”
